Two years ago, Mammoth celebrated a whopping 668 inches of snow setting a town record! Beginning in October, Mammoth has seen 288.8 inches so far this year, but that and projections of a few coming storms has the ski resort planning to remain open through Memorial Day! Wahoo!

Up from last year, the town tourism board estimates lodging occupancy to be at around 60%. (Here at Mammoth RBO, occupancy continues to float significantly higher. Hey, just saying.)

Mountain biking trails at Mammoth are now up, as well as the Sierra Star golf course, so lots to do this month!

Mammoth Mountain has reported 183 inches at the 11,053-foot summit, and a base depth of 83 inches at the main lodge. The record set back in 2011 carried the ski season into the July 4th holiday, so let’s see what we can do!

Hey All! A killer year for resorts in the West, with heavy snowfalls all throughout the season.

I must have you know, – – Mammoth truly is king. We’re proud to say, the deepest powder in the country belongs to Mammoth Mountain.

The resort now has a base of between seven and sixteen feet depending on where you stand on the mountain.

If you haven’t heard from your ski buddies, or from the feed on your Facebook, the Sierra Nevadas were hit with snow just days ago. The recent storms blessed the mountain with two feet of fresh powder.

Still deciding If you’re headed up for some quality ski / snowboard action? We can fix that! It really is tough to top Mammoth. “The resort features 118 trails spread out across 3500 skiable acres, which means even on a busy day there is still plenty of room to move. Sixty-five percent of that terrain is aimed specifically at the beginner or intermediate skier, which makes the resort a great place for those who are still looking to build their skills.”

Fresh powder. Delicious food & drink. Fantastic vacation homes!

Happy Friday from the MRBO Team!
